Dad, I have to say you're one of my finest heros. As I look at you from a distance, standing in the circle of Heros and Great Men, I notice all the space I'll need to fill in the shoes which will be left behind for me. It's quite a heritage, magnified with your efforts, I'll carry on. First of all, Lots of love. Everything else is by-product.

Hi Jon,
Be positive and confident that your faith will help you lick this!
The Lord will lead you through the maze of paths you could take in finding the way to rid your body of the cancer. The answers are there. The right path will become evident to you through your faith and the faith and prayers of family and friends in your behalf.

We love you!
Mom and Dad Portlock

Jon,
We are amazed at your strength. Thank-you for always being such a great example of Christ-like service.
We send our love, thoughts and prayers.
You have always been there to help us, (Dan doesn't have a clue what to do with the pool)and our wonderful new hot water heater.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you, Diana or family. We are great for airport runs, meals, Dr. appts. etc.
Love you,
Linda and Dan

Dear Jon and Diana, What a blow! Who would have thought that that pesky little high school freshman would come down with this terrible disease. We have been praying for you and hoping our faith will be added to yours. We both love you and want the best for you and your family. Were glad you have had a confirmation of the spirit as Heavenly Father's hand is over and around you. We keep thinking of all of the times our lives have intersected and the help you were to us as we were raising our family. Love and best wishes. Harvey and Marilyn
